Dr. Mark Thompson, Senior Minister to the Liberty  City Church of Christ in Detroit, Michigan, has passionately dedicated his life to delivering the gospel of Jesus Christ in full-time ministry for more than 20 years.  Liberty City is a loving and vibrant congregation that shows both spiritual and numerical expansion.  He has a practical approach to teaching God's word which is simplistic, yet powerful embracing both the mercy and severity of God, the wisdom and instruction of the Word, the compassion and forgiveness of Jesus, and the comfort and guidance of God's Holy Spirit.  It is his mission to preach with substance to all who hear with clear understanding.

Dr. Thompson is a renowned gospel preacher and is often requested to minister throughout the United States and abroad. Being a well rounded individual, he enjoys spending time with his daughter Darien, who he has raised to be a wonderful young lady.  She is currently in college studying Business.  He  also enjoys spending time with his parents, Senior Minister, Dr. James E. Thompson and Sis. Marva Thompson.  He appreciates exotic dining; including his favorite dish, sushi.  He also enjoys the arts, traveling to the Caribbean, and watching classic television.
