Midwestern Christian Institute - Based in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and founded by my father, Dr. James E. Thompson, Sr. Evangelist to the North Broadway Church of Christ. It is exclusively dedicated to teaching and training future church leaders (preachers, senior ministers, elders/bishops/pastors, deacons, teachers, and spouses of church leaders) for a lifetime of Christian service in their local communities and around the world. As a faculty member, we are excited to offer a weekend format schedule that allows employed men and women to continue working while investing in their spiritual growth as contributors and leaders within their local congregations.
Southwestern Christian College - Based in Terrell, TX, was founded in 1948 by a group of students in Ft. Worth, Texas. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to offer both a two year degree in liberal arts and a four year degree in biblical studies. The current president is Dr. Jack Evans, Senior. As a former student, the school has an excellent reputation for producing hundreds of preachers and church leaders along with men and women dedicated to Christian living and Christian leadership wherever they go. They are also well known for their talented choral groups with decades of musical selections for our enjoyment.
